of a manuscript to this journal implies that it has not been published and is

their final copy (completed revisions; see below), the AABSS assumes that the
author(s) has agreed to publish said manuscript in the online Perspectives
journal. It is the author’s responsibility to ensure that ethics approval has
been granted in all matters pertaining to the research as presented in the
manuscript. All rights reserved. No part of the Perspectives journal may be reproduced
in any form whatsoever without permission,
in writing, from the AABSS. The Review Process The
Perspectives journal accepts
submissions of manuscripts that stem from presentations delivered at the annual
AABSS Conference. Manuscripts that do not meet the guidelines for the
submission of manuscripts will not be considered for inclusion in this edited
journal. The publication process consists of the following stages: Stage I – Editorial Review: The Editor will critically review and
screen each submitted manuscript. Each manuscript will be screened for overall
structure (e.g., grammar, organization, APA style) and content (e.g., missing
references), as well as adherence to AABSS policy (e.g., deadline). Suggestions
for the improvement of the manuscript will also be noted. Stage II – Feedback to
Lead Author: Upon completion of the Stage I review,
the lead author will be contacted with the suggested changes. Stage III – Author
Approval: Once the author reviews the suggested
editorial changes, the author will e-mail their approval of said changes to the
Editor of Perspectives. It is
strongly recommended that the author approves of such changes unless adequate
justification is provided to reject any said change. Failure to do so may
result in rejection of the manuscript. Note that it is the responsibility of
the lead author (or designated author) to make said changes that are beyond the
scope of the Editor’s background. Stage IV –
Notification to Procede to Publication: Once the Editor of Perspectives receives approval (and changes have been made) to
publish the revised manuscript, it will then be formatted and uploaded to the AABSS Perspectives
website. Note that uploaded manuscript may take anywhere from 1 to 2
months. It is anticipated the manuscript will be published in the early fall of
each year. Further,
note that should an author choose to withdraw their manuscript, the Editor will
remove the respective manuscript and notify the author. Formatting: Please
use the following template in formatting your manuscript – in all cases use New
